Support Us in Expanding Our Trans Youth Theatre Collective and Help Trans Youth To Be Heard

co-ACT - Trans Youth Community Theatre Collective is Translate Gender's year-round theatre program for trans, gender-expansive, and nonbinary youth. We engage in acting, theatre play, dramatizing subjective narratives, role-play, improvisation, playing with body and voice, and much more. co-ACT Collective supports youth to gender self-determination, self-expressions, and non-judgmental exploration of identities.

Each year, the youth & adult facilitators write and create an original final performance based on their personal and shared lived experiences. Last year ('22), the youth created an original musical called, What If It's A Musical? all on their own, including original music.

This year, the youth created an original musical, Once Upon A Drag. They engage with the burning issues that trans/nonbinary/gender-expansive youth experience in today's hostile climate, such as the attack on drag performers, family acceptance, and community care.

Help us sustain, expand, and grow our trans youth community theatre collective!
